For the second consecutive year, the student-planned and orchestrated Accounting Opportunities event connected successful Lakeland University graduates with current accounting and business administration students.

More than 40 professionally-dressed current students networked with 15 LU graduates who are now thriving at area companies and organizations. There was also a discussion panel made up of seven successful alumni.

The companies represented were: Mark J Miller, CPA; Clifton Larson Allen; Huberty CPAs; Schenck SC; Acuity; Schreiber Foods; Sargento; Northwestern Mutual; RCS Empowers; Actuant; Wisconsin Institute of CPAs; Forefront Dermatology; Johnsonville; U.S. Department of Treasury and Lakeland University. LU students Steven Canales, Ian Gioacchini and Cal Zimborski were the Lakeland Accounting Club executive officers responsible for planning the event.

Brett Killion, Lakeland assistant professor of accounting, and Bob Martin, instructor of accounting, served as the students' advisors.
