Daniel David Black, Lakeland College assistant professor of music and director of choral activities, served as the guest conductor at last weekend’s Eastern Wisconsin Conference high school concert in New Holstein. Black, accompanied by pianist and Lakeland grad Thomas Pibal, worked with honors choir singers from Campellsport, Kiel, New Holstein, Sheboygan Falls, Two Rivers and Waupun high schools. For the second year in a row and fifth time in six years, members of Lakeland’s Theatricians drama club will stage an entirely student-led performance. The local production of “In My Shoes,” a tale of life as a teen in a military family, debuts tonight at 7:30 at the Bradley Theatre. Additional performances are Friday and Saturday at the same time. Lakeland’s women’s basketball team hosted a group of special guests for the Muskies’ 81-73 home victory over Rockford University on Tuesday night. More than 20 select-level sixth-grade girls’ basketball players from Sheboygan and Howards Grove spent a fun-filled evening with the Muskies at the Wehr Center. The youngsters started off their visit with a spirited practice session in the fieldhouse, which included a fun shooting drill with the Muskies players.
