Lakeland College recently made quite a splash when it unveiled the inaugural “Fish Swish” at Sheboygan’s biggest high school sporting event. North’s Tony Tellez and South’s Sydnee Pribernow, whose names were drawn from among the many students who registered, each got to take one half-court shot between the third and fourth quarters of the boys’ basketball game between North and South. Over the past few years, seven Lakeland College accounting graduates have launched careers with Schenck SC, a full-service CPA and business consulting firm with more than 500 employees and eight locations in Wisconsin. Recently, Schenck SC in Sheboygan hosted 21 Lakeland Intermediate Accounting I students for an educational, competitive project. Lakeland College Assistant Professor of Accounting Brett Killion recently took his 400-level Accounting Information Systems class to Lambeau Field for an informative, up-close look at how the Green Bay Packers use information systems in their accounting department.
