Lakeland Celebrates Student & Faculty Excellence at Honors Banquet
Lakeland held its annual Honors Banquet on April 15, recognizing honors program students, naming Lauryn (L.J.) Johnson as the Koehler Award recipient, and honoring Kim Viglietti with the Underkofler Teaching Award, along with numerous other academic awards.

Dr. Gould devoted 42 years to Lakeland University—as professor, visionary, and transformational president. His leadership shaped generations of students and helped carry Lakeland’s mission across the globe. We gather in gratitude for his life, his scholarship, and his unwavering belief in the pride of being a Muskie.

All proceeds from the event will support our Life & Career Studies (LCS) program, which offers a full college experience for young adults (ages 18-25) with intellectual disabilities. LCS empowers students by providing access to academics, employment opportunities, independent living skills, and community engagement — ensuring they experience college life alongside their peers.
