Launch: Nonprofit Division already a success

Launch’s Nonprofit Division provides Sheboygan County nonprofits with LU student staff at little to no cost. The goal is to increase the effectiveness of local nonprofit organizations by providing outstanding students to fill administrative and professional roles or customized projects or events.

To date, Launch has funded 11 students’ wages, equaling $23,000+ in wage relief. That is, up to 416 hours of labor at no cost to the nonprofit. Students work an average of 14.7 hours per week for approximately 22.2 weeks. Some of the nonprofits currently being served by this division are Partners for Community Development, Inc., WIRCO (Wisconsin Recovery Community Organization), and Generations an Intergenerational Center. Launch’s Nonprofit Division bridges the gap between Lakeland students looking for experiential learning opportunities and local nonprofits in need.

If you are interested in working with Launch’s Nonprofit Division, please contact John Putnam, President, Nonprofit Division at putnamj@lakeland.edu

Muskies Helping Muskies

Our alumni are represented in a variety of work environments and are eager to share advice and help our current students!

Whether it is mentoring, job shadowing or helping with practice interviews, there are many opportunities to assist current Muskies in their education. Are you ready to help another Muskie out?

Help us keep in touch with you!

You enjoy reading news about your classmates and friends – they would love to read about you, too. Did you move? Get married? Get a new job? Let us know so we can keep you informed and include your changes in the “Alma Matters” section of the magazine.
