Lakeland's "bubble"
Our students, faculty and staff are back on campus and the fall semester is underway! In order to open campus, Lakeland has implemented a number of strategies to reduce the spread of COVID-19 by essentially encouraging the campus to be its own “bubble”. Check out the Sheboygan Press article highlighting our return-to-campus efforts.
Opening Convocation: Rodney Ellison
For the 2020 Opening Convocation, we heard a rousing address by two-time Lakeland graduate Rodney Ellison, great reminders by SGA President Elizabeth Randa, a wonderful rendition of the Alma Mater by Bennett Josephs and the annual charges to students from President David Black. It was a great morning to be a Muskie! A video from this year’s Opening Convocation is now available.
Stay at HOMEcoming
Each year, we look forward to welcoming you back to campus for a weekend to reconnect with old friends and create new memories. This year is a little different. The Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference (NACC) postponed all conference regular-season competitions and championships through the end of the calendar year. Our first priority is the health and safety of all of our Muskies, so we have made the difficult decision to cancel Homecoming 2020.
Although we will not gather in person on October 9 and 10, we invite you to celebrate your Muskie pride by joining us for a day of social celebration on our Lakeland Facebook page! Follow along that day for videos, stories, and opportunities to share your favorite Homecoming photos and memories.
We are excited to bring you back home in 2021.
Lakeland to Offer Bachelor’s Degrees at Milwaukee Area Technical College Campuses
Milwaukee Area Technical College students can now pursue a Lakeland University bachelor’s degree at all four MATC campuses through MATC’s Center for University Partnerships and Studies. This innovative new educational access program will offer discounted Lakeland tuition and convenience for MATC graduates.
