Northeast Wisconsin Technical College to welcome Lakeland University - Green Bay Center to its Main Campus

Lakeland University is excited to share that we have relocated our Green Bay Center to NWTC ‘s main campus.

Lakeland has had a location in the Green Bay area since 1984, and the move allows us to continue serving an area that’s come to know us for the past 40-plus years.

“This move for Lakeland makes so much sense. Many of the students that Lakeland serves in the Green Bay area are NWTC graduates. And now they’ll be able to continue on the pathway to a bachelor’s degree at a campus that already feels like home.” said Lakeland President Beth Borgen.

Through the Green Bay Center, Lakeland will continue to offer more than a dozen bachelor’s degree programs as well as four master’s degree programs, which are available online, in person or any combination of the two.

The announcement of our move generated national and statewide media attention. Here’s a sampling of reports about the latest innovative way that LU is working to provide access to degree pathways for more students:

The day also included a panel discussion with current Lakeland accounting students, Maddy Rathsack and John Putnam; and Lakeland graduates, Zach Van Engen (Sargento) and Melanie Westphalen (Vesta CPAs).

Lakeland grad continues education at Notre Dame Law School

As 2020 Lakeland graduate Kyle Ericsson completes his first year of law school at the University of Notre Dame, he credits his time at Lakeland and the Ulrich Scholars Program for opening his eyes and mind to social issues and the interactions between faith, ethics and justice.

“I think that getting to attend various talks and do various social projects with the Ulrich Scholars Program helped influence my goal of entering into public interest law,” said Ericsson, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in religion. “The Ulrich Scholars Program is an amazing program that I cannot recommend enough for prospective students.”

Cooperative Education at Lakeland University

Lakeland launched an ongoing series to give you the chance to meet some of the students who are maximizing their Lakeland experience by participating in our unique Cooperative Education program.

Lakeland is the only school in the Midwest offering students an opportunity to earn a full year of academic credit for their work experience. LU students can earn up to 25% of the degree through work and post-work reflection.

Each year, we welcomed more students who are interested in the benefits of Co-Op and the ability to connect with a lengthy list of corporate and organizational partners who support the program and our student’s learning.
