Memorial Day Parade and Celebration 2021

Sheboygan's Memorial Day celebration is a collaboration between United States Veterans and active-duty personnel, the City of Sheboygan, and Launch: Lakeland Student-Run Businesses. Kohler Credit Union is sponsoring the parade. The parade will be held on Monday, May 31, 2021 in downtown Sheboygan starting at 9:00 am with a ceremony to follow at Fountain Park.

Parade info:

  • The parade route starts at 7th Street & Wisconsin Avenue, goes north on 7th Street to Superior Avenue, goes west on Superior to 9th Street, goes south on 9th Street, and ends at Fountain Park.
  • If you would like to participate in the parade, please scroll down to access the registration form.
  • Please keep in mind the purpose and solemnity of the Memorial Parade when considering your entry. All entrants must reflect a Memorial Day theme and should not be solely for the purpose of advertising a for-profit venture. Parade participants will be required to be in position between 7:45 am and 8:15 am. Instructions and positions for the parade will be sent out closer to the parade date.

    • Damien Mohorne:
      • Currently I am an instructor at Lakeland University and a Physician Integration Specialist at Advocate Aurora.
      • Served active-duty Army from 2001 - 2013.
    • Jamie Schramm:
      • Married to wife, Tammy
      • Born and raised in Sheboygan, WI, graduate of Sheboygan North, UW-Sheboygan and Lakeland University
      • Currently serve as the Campus Executive Officer for UW-Green Bay's Sheboygan and Manitowoc Campuses
      • Serve on the UWGB Veterans Affairs Committee and provide civilian oversight for UWGB's ROTC and WI National Guard programs
      • Father-in-law served 23 years in the United States Marine Corps retiring from MCAS-Beaufort and my son, Zach, currently serves in the United States Marine Corps
      • Past associate member of the Marine Corps League
      • Certified by the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs in Military Funeral Rites, have supported Sheboygan County's Joint Military Rites unit
      • Member of United States Marine Corps Heritage Foundation
      • Coordinate annual Toys for Tots collection sites in conjunction with USMCR within multiple county footprint

Volunteer Information:

  • Post-parade program
    Time 9 a.m. – Noon
    Tasks Set-up stage: chairs, flags, wreath area, hand out programs, etc.

  • Parade division marshal & lineup assistance
    Time 7 a.m. – 11 a.m.
    Tasks Assist parade participants find line-up location, be sure all participants are in proper order, answer general questions, present flowers to veterans, etc.
