Take Classes Without Pursuing A Degree

Interested in taking courses for personal/professional development or to fulfill prerequisites but not quite ready to pursue a degree? Lakeland University has a solution!

Students can attend Lakeland University as a non-degree student, and are eligible to enroll in 9 credits of undergraduate and 3 credits of graduate non-degree coursework per semester — unless they are pursuing one of our certificate programs.

Non-Degree Students

Admissions Information:

  • Non-degree applicants need to apply at and request academic transcripts be sent directly to Lakeland University.
  • Non-degree students who later decide they would like to earn acceptance into a degree program must follow the regular application procedures. At the time of such application, the credits earned as a non-degree student will be reviewed and we will explain how the credits can be used in meeting the degree requirements.
  • Please note, financial assistance is not available for non-degree students.
