Attention all students who will be entering their sophomore, junior or senior year in Fall 2023! Looking for something fun to do this summer? Would you like to learn how to become more involved in Social Justice issues? Are you wanting to find a way to make a difference in your community and beyond? Do you have a passion for helping others? Check out Lakeland University’s Social Justice Camp 2023!
This 5-day, 4-night camp will create an awareness of social justice and social justice issues that will lead to a better understanding of how to tackle real-world problems by looking at them through multiple lenses.
There are lots of fun activities planned throughout the week, including: interacting with guest speakers as well as Lakeland faculty and students who are engaged in social justice work, on-site activities using music and art, mindfulness activities, and some off-site field trips to discover ways to be involved with social justice issues within and outside of the local community.
The camp will be held June 18-22, 2023. Registration is open and runs through June 5 or until all spots are filled, space is limited. The cost of this camp is $100 for the week and includes: overnight accommodations at Lakeland University’s main campus, meals, on-site and off-site activities and more.
Need-based scholarships are available, but limited. If you would like to apply for a need-based scholarship, there is a space on the registration form to write a few sentences why a scholarship would be helpful.
