Annual exhibit spotlights LU art students

Lakeland will feature the talent of its art students as part of the Annual Student Art Exhibition, a show that displays the best pieces by students enrolled in the university’s various studio art and graphic design classes from the current school year.

The exhibit will open March 26 and runs through April 23 in the Bradley Fine Arts Building on the Lakeland campus. The Bradley Gallery is open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday, when Lakeland is in session.

On display will be more than 100 works in a wide range of media and the best examples of any given assignment, in addition to the most advanced course work in which students largely set their own objectives.

Students with pieces in the exhibit are Emma Mock, Emily Schmitt, Marissa Varela, Briana Nash, Nao Takahashi, Abby Baumgartner, Elmonzeo Evans, Kaylee Zipperer, Joseph Burkett, Bobainah Cha, Maui Viola, Jensen Bukouricz, Alyssa Olson, Clarice Case, Madison Schwartz, Kimberly Schachel, Alannah Aquirre, Sterling Gardner, Angela Corollo, Colton Roepke, Ashley Andrashko, Jannin Pindeda, Megan Austreng, David Aragon, Lee Chang, Baylee Babcock, Brianna Jones, Skylar Hall, Zachary Gallipeau, Sofia Henschel, Yu Asano, Remington Hansen, and Elizabeth Roe.

Courses represented include Drawing I, II, & III, Painting I & II, Watercolor I, Color Theory, Two-Dimensional Design, Three-Dimensional Design.
