Launch takes on Road America
Launch: Lakeland’s Student-Run Business is once again managing a concession stand at Road America racetrack in Elkhart Lake for the summer race season.
The concession stand is located at Road America’s Turn 12 and has a complete menu including entrees, sides, desserts and drinks.
Mikayla Petschar, a junior majoring in biology with minors in psychology and criminal justice, has been a Launch employee in three different business ventures. This summer she became an employee in Launch’s event planning business which includes the Road America Concession Stand.
“I originally chose to become a Launch student worker to be able to work on campus,” she said. “Since starting at Musko’s Campus Shop in September, I have also accepted a position with Elementastic. Being a part of such a unique business program is rewarding.”
Petschar encouraged her peers to take advantage of the many opportunities Launch has to offer. “Launch has a variety of business ventures which allows most students to find something they are interested in,” she said.
Launch strives to provide experiential and entrepreneurial learning opportunities that prepare students for diverse careers in a multi-faceted world.
This summer, Launch has been involved with multiple events in Sheboygan County including the Sheboygan Memorial Parade and the Blaster’s Golf Tournament.
If you find yourself at Road America this race season, be sure to stop by and support Launch’s employees and Lakeland students.
