Assistant Professor of Education

Parker comes to Lakeland from the Appleton, Wis., School District where has been a teacher leader for over a decade. She has led staff meetings, implemented staff development, created learning opportunities and worked closely with families and the community.

She has supported multiple content areas in English language arts and social studies, and assisted in the creation and implementation of a district-wide curriculum that was adopted and implemented at the middle level. She served as both a curriculum support specialist and positive behavior intervention and support (PBIS) site coordinator.

Parker has taught as an adjunct instructor for three years for Fox Valley Technical College, and previously was a classroom teacher for the Ashland, Wis., School District.

She has a bachelor’s in elementary education (grades 1-9) from Northland College, a master’s in education: literacy & language from Kaplan University and a doctor of education with a specialization in personalized and competency based instruction from Capella University.
