Lakeland names new Milwaukee Center director

Lakeland is welcoming back Rhetta Earle as director of its Milwaukee Center and graduate admissions recruiter.

Earle returns to Lakeland from Lakeshore Technical College, where she served as scholarship and foundation coordinator and then as director of student outreach, a role in which she effectively refined LTC's admissions and recruitment processes to increase enrollment.

She also developed cross-departmental strategies to streamline the transition of students from the admissions team to their academic advisors.

In her previous work at Lakeland, Earle recruited transfer students to our Sheboygan campus as senior associate director of admissions and later served as associate director of financial aid. Rhetta has taught regularly for Lakeland since 2012, offering courses in composition, Core and writing and literature.

She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Clemson University and brings to LU more than 20 years of higher education experience. She also is actively involved in the Wisconsin Leadership Development Institute and Wisconsin Association of College Admissions Counselors.

Her first day will be August 10.
