Lakeland strengthens alumni relations resources
One of Lakeland University’s most treasured assets is its talented, loyal alumni base.
We are excited to share several changes in the alumni office that will provide more opportunities for Lakeland and Mission House graduates to engage with their alma mater.
Sydney Pingitore '22 MSLOD '23 has been promoted to director of alumni relations and annual giving. She will lead strategy for all things alumni as well as the institution’s annual giving efforts.

This person will serve a variety of roles including coordinating alumni events, supporting annual giving and alumni fundraising efforts, assisting with young alumni engagement initiatives and supporting alumni mentorship and alumni–student engagement efforts.
Additionally, a longtime Lakeland staff member will join the alumni team as David Gallianetti, Lakeland director of external relations, will transition to a new role beginning on July 1.
Gallianetti, who is in his 26th year at Lakeland, will help plan and host alumni events (including class reunions during Homecoming), recruit alumni mentors, support athletics alumni efforts and support the work of Lakeland’s advancement team. He’ll especially focus on Lakeland’s most recent graduates, working with them on a variety of ways to stay engaged.
He will also continue to lead Lakeland’s communication efforts, working closely with the president’s office.
