Biology Professor Teaches at Local High School

LU Professor of Biology Paul Pickhardt recently taught two class sessions at George D. Warriner High School, which is part of the Sheboygan Area School District.

Following a presentation that Pickhardt delivered at the Maywood Environmental Park, he was approached by Maggie Hafertepe, a science teacher at Warriner High, who asked if he would teach a class focused on biological evolution in her biology course.

Pickhardt presented two class sessions on adaptations via natural selection and the students in Hafertepe’s “Learnatorium” class space at Warriner were receptive and interactive throughout.

Pickhardt has previously conducted guest class periods at Plymouth High School, Sheboygan Falls High School and various schools in the Sheboygan Area School District.
