Junior wins LU Design and Entrepreneur Showcase

A proposed meal plan for dietary health and weight loss was the winner of Lakeland University’s 2024 Design and Entrepreneur Showcase.

The showcase features innovative products and services developed by Lakeland students enrolled in the Brand Identity course, taught by LU Assistant Professor of Graphic Design Kate Prange. Students presented their projects at Jake’s, A Lakeland Community to a panel of judges, who determined the showcase award winner.

The winning project, ketosi, was created by Holly Schilling, a junior majoring in graphic design. Ketosi strives to be a convenient and helpful force advancing dietary health and weight-loss for the nation. Its mission is bringing perfectly portioned Keto and low-carb easy meal kits to the nation while providing encouragement, ensuring ingredient integrity and offering a menu fit for every individual need.

Other projects presented at the showcase included: Pause & Paws, Morgan Garrison & Rachel Pagel; Creativespace, Dakota Aschenbach; Practiceez, Levi Everts; gloom & bloom, Frida McKeown; Serenity, Addison Ramminger; Roomy, Lexi Vass.

Judges for the showcase included Jenni Spinneli, owner of Bucky’s Bull Rescue and director of operations at SYNERGY HomeCare; Sally Carson, co-owner of Ampersand & Supply Co.; and Stephanie Hoskins, Lakeland’s Kohler & Jacobson Chair in Business and Entrepreneurship.
