Local students make most of Lakeland/Sheboygan Schools partnership

Local high school students are making the most of an innovative agreement between the Sheboygan Area School District and Lakeland University to expand access to college credit courses at no cost to high school students.

SASD students have free access to Lakeland Concurrent Academic Progress Program (CAPP) courses, which provide high school and college credits simultaneously.

Access to the free CAPP classes through Lakeland University rolled out this fall, and the number of students enrolled for college credit has increased by over 35%, with 1,140 students enrolled in a Lakeland CAPP class at North or South High School in the first semester.
