Shuttle Services at Lakeland University

Free Rides Throughout Sheboygan County

The purpose of the Lakeland University campus shuttle is to transport students free of charge to/from communities neighboring campus in a safe and convenient way. Lakeland University, shuttles run year-round except on university observed holidays, and when campus is closed because of hazardous road conditions due to inclement weather. All shuttle riders must have their valid LU ID with them at the time of the ride to verify current student status.

Frequently Asked Questions

The shuttle operators are interviewed and hired on the three "C's" - Competency, Courteousness and Caring. Not only are they trained in safe driving habits, but will periodically be monitored for safety, performance and customer satisfaction.

Students must sign up for a shuttle ride at least 24 hours in advance. This can be done at the Shuttle Desk, located in the Campus Center. There will be a sign-up sheet at the desk where students will provide the required information. Students should meet the driver at the Shuttle Desk at least 5 minutes before their departure time. Students who are late may miss their ride.

If a shuttle ride needs to be cancelled, students must call the shuttle phone or talk with a driver directly at minimum, one hour before the scheduled time. No call/no shows will result in a strike. When a student reaches THREE strikes per semester, they will be suspended from the shuttle for TWO weeks. Exceptions can only be made by the VP for Campus Life/Dean for Students.
