Planning for a future that includes the fine arts is sometimes viewed as a risky path to take, but this doesn’t need to be the case. Join us for this FREE workshop to learn how viewing your artistic work as a business entrepreneur can free you to pursue your passions without fear, anxiety or uncertainty.

Develop Entrepreneurial Skills

This free, three-day summer workshop for rising high school juniors and seniors is intended to develop entrepreneurial skills for artists including identification of values, goal setting, practical business skills, financial literacy and wellness strategies.

Camp participants will:

  • Identify their Core Values and discover how these support successful artistic creation and careers
  • Learn strategies for setting goals for success
  • Develop entrepreneurial skills including networking, developing multiple sources of revenue and financial literacy
  • Discover how to intentionally set goals, communicate effectively and write your own script for success

The program includes:

  • Instruction from internationally renowned professional artists and Lakeland faculty and staff
  • Continental breakfast and lunch each day
  • Final Student Presentation of personal Mission and Vision statements by program participants
  • A free concert by mezzo-soprano Emily Fons and collaborative pianist Janna Ernst
$750 Scholarship

Control The Cost Of College

$750 Scholarship

All students who complete the program will receive a $750 scholarship to Lakeland University, or a $500 scholarship to the school of their choice for first-year admission.

Emily Fons & Charlie Krebs

This summer workshop will be led by two influential faculty members. You will have the opportunity to learn from Emily Fons, international opera singer, and Charlie Krebs, Lakeland University's associate professor of theater and communication.

There is no cost to the student for this program.

Daily transportation is required. Overnight accommodations are not available.

Sessions run from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Wednesday. Program concludes on Wednesday, July 14, with a free concert from 3:30-4:30 by mezzo-soprano Emily Fons.

  • In the event the Safer at Home guidelines do not permit gatherings of this size, we are working on a virtual program. In order for the program to run, eight students must register and commit to attending.
