Richard Lemke, who came to Lakeland in 2012, has a Ph.D. in criminology and criminal justice from the University of Cincinnati and a master's in forensic psychology from Castleton State College (Castleton, Vt.).
Prior to joining Lakeland, Lemke was an assistant professor at the University of West Georgia.
Lemke was the 2015 recipient of Lakeland's Underkofler Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award.
Lemke's research areas include risk assessment, correctional program effectiveness and criminological explanations of crime. His work has been published in "Federal Probation," "Offender Programs Reports," "Criminal Justice and Behavior," and "Journal of Criminal Justice Education."
