New Leadership for Musko's Campus Shop
Launch: Lakeland Student-Run Businesses is thrilled to announce new leadership for Musko's Campus Shop.
The president of merchandising has recently been made a dual leadership position. The students in these roles will lead the development of Musko's Campus Shop and operations of both the online and brick-and-mortar store. Launch is proud to welcome Nidal Farah and Kelly Swope as the presidents of merchandising.
Musko's Campus Shop operations and responsibilities will be divided among Farah and Swope.
Farah, a freshman from Ventura, Calif., is pursuing a bachelor's degree in business administration. He is a member of the Lakeland men's wrestling team and in his free time he enjoys thrifting, listening to music and working on cars. He brings a level of retail experience to the team through the start his own clothing company.
Swope, a sophomore from Heyworth, Ill., is pursuing a double major in marketing with an emphasis in graphic design and business administration with an emphasis in forensics. She is a member of the Lakeland women's volleyball team and in her free time she enjoys reading and spending time with friends.
Musko's Campus Shop brick-and-mortar store had its grand opening on Sept. 9, 2021, followed by the launch of the online store on Dec. 6, 2021. Leading the venture was Sydney Pingitore, who graduated this past weekend.
Pingitore said, "The benefits of the role being split will allow the students to focus on certain areas of their expertise. It will allow them to thrive and focus on different areas of the shop they want to improve because of their creative minds, past experiences and passion for learning."
