"Beyond the Rainbow: A Celebration of Identity and Community" is an interactive event aimed at creating an inclusive atmosphere and enhancing understanding. This convocation, which is hosted by the Lakeland women's basketball team, has eight different interactive stations. Students are given stamp cards when they arrive and must visit each station to earn a convocation credit. There will also be a raffle for prizes. There will be a "take one, leave one" station for encouraging words, a "Guess the Flag" station, a "Who am I" station where students use yarn to link the word community to different identities they identity with. There will be an information station, a collaborative rainbow mural, a bracelet making station and more. Through enjoyable, artistic participation, this event aims to build our campus community while honoring the wide range of LGBTQ+ identities.
