Lakeland University Baccalaureate

Baccalaureate: A Service of Celebration and Thanksgiving for our Graduates

Graduation has been postponed – it will not occur on May 9, nor will the Baccalaureate ceremony on May 8. We do hope to reschedule the ceremonies. Once we have more information, we will inform our Lakeland community. If you have not ordered your graduation apparel, please hold off until we make final decisions about the ceremony. There will be a new deadline. More details to come when we have them.

Join us Friday night before graduation to celebrate the completion of your student years with a joyful service of worship. The baccalaureate service offers a time to pause and reflect on your accomplishments and personal growth and to offer thanksgiving for how you have enriched the Lakeland community. We will also offer you a blessing as you move on to what’s ahead. University Chaplain the Rev. Julie Mavity Maddalena, Ph.D., and special guests, including current students, will lead this brief worship service.

Baccalaureate will be held in Laun 209 beginning at 6 p.m. Graduates should wear their cap and gown and meet in Laun 210 at 5:45 to line up for the procession.

Register below by May 7 for the baccalaureate service.

For any questions, contact the Rev. Julie Mavity Maddalena at or 970-565-1000 ext. 2114.
