Cooperative Education: Danielle Butts

Name: Danielle Butts

Hometown: Neenah, Wis.

Major: Organizational Leadership & Development

Year in school: Senior

Co-Op job: Division support specialist at Fox Valley Technical College

I participate in the Co-Op program because: Being a business professional while continuing my education has made learning more engaging. The content learned in each course directly applies to my everyday work and the conversations with other Lakeland students are in-depth and thought-provoking.

Post-graduation dream job: Process management or teaching

Favorite LU faculty/staff member: Fox Cities Center Academic Advisor Beth Boardman

Lakeland is a good fit for me because: As a full-time business professional, I appreciate the flexible learning environment, helpful faculty members and applicable courses.

Lakeland University is the only Midwestern school that offers Cooperative Education across all majors by allowing participating students to gain on-the-job knowledge and academic credit for their work. LU students can earn up to 25% of the degree through work and post-work reflection.

Each year, we welcome more students who are interested in the benefits of Co-Op and the ability to connect with a lengthy list of corporate and organizational partners who support the program and our student’s learning.
