Lakeland Esports & Bucks Gaming To Cohost Recruitment Events

As an Official Partner of the Milwaukee Bucks NBA 2K team, Bucks Gaming, Lakeland University will cohost several events in the coming weeks for high school Esports teams and student-athletes.

Space is limited and registration will be on a first come, first served basis.

Events include:

  • Esports Recruitment Showcase:
    • Students will have the chance to showcase their Madden or Overwatch skills in front of Bucks Gaming staff/players and Lakeland University Esports head coach Ahman Green. Attendees will learn how they can pursue a professional gaming career, a role within the Esports industry and play at the collegiate level.
        • July 24, 2022
          • 1-4 p.m.
          • Location: Lakeland University
          • Games: Madden (limited to first 16 players) & Overwatch ( limited to first 24 players)
  • Esports Preview Day at Lakeland University:
    • Preview Days provide prospective students well-rounded exposure to life at Lakeland. Students will tour the LU campus and Esports facility, meet professors and Esports coaching staff and talk to student admission counselors about future plans. Bucks Gaming players and staff will be onsite for a panel discussion. Attendees will have the opportunity to play friendly show matches to show off their gaming skills.
          • 11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
          • Location: Lakeland University
          • Includes lunch

Lakeland will also hold free seminars this fall with high school Esports programs. The seminars will focus on how to get involved with an Esports team, being a good teammate, having accountability, being a leader and ways to practice. Speakers will include Bucks Gaming players.
