Lakeland introduces three new faculty members
Lakeland University will welcome two new full-time faculty members to its classrooms this fall.
Pearson has taught numerous Lakeland undergraduate and graduate business courses in the traditional classroom, online live and online since the spring of 2019.
He has nearly two decades of private and public section experience to go with his higher education background. He was most recently an instructor and associate director of academic programs for Quantic School of Business and Technology. He was college assessment program director for Bellin College, and he also taught there, as well as UW-Green Bay, Arizona University, Valar Institute and the University of Phoenix.
Prior to his full-time roles in higher education, Pearson was director of sales and marketing for CoSourcing Partners, director of business for Xeratec Corporation and director of business operations for Upp Technology, Inc. He has delivered numerous presentations at conferences.
He received a bachelor’s in healthcare systems administration and a master of business administration from Ferris State University and a Doctor of Philosophy in organizational development and leadership with a concentration in risk management from the University of Arizona.
Prange brings a wealth of industry and higher education experience to Lakeland’s graphic design program. She’s held a variety of design-related creative roles over the past 25 years, working for clients such as Pepsi, Snap-on, Harley-Davidson, Miller Brewing Co. and General Mills.
She has a wide range of skills that includes UI/UX, immersive design, advertising, graphic design and web development. Her work has appeared in numerous exhibitions and she’s won several awards.
Prange comes to Lakeland from Carthage College where she taught graphic design and web design courses this past academic year. She has also taught for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, UW-Milwaukee, Mount Mary University and Whitefish Bay High School.
She received a bachelor of fine arts in graphic design, a master’s in digital media and design and a master of fine arts in new media all from UW-Milwaukee.
Flasch comes to Lakeland with many years of experience in vocal music, piano accompanying and symphonic conducting. She spent nearly 20 years in New York City as a professional singer and chorister, then returned to the Milwaukee area and found a second career as a voice instructor and conductor.
She has taught previously at Carroll University, Roosevelt University, Aurora University and UW-Milwaukee. She has founded several choral groups, a highly successful summer music festival and the Southwestern Suburban Symphony in Milwaukee.
She received a master of music in vocal performance from Syracuse University, Syracuse, N.Y., ahe studied at L’Ecole Hindemith in Blonay, Switzerland and received a bachelor of music education in vocal/choral and piano emphasis from Milton College in Milton, Wis.
