For its 2020-21 list, Learn.org considered hundreds of universities across the country and selected Lakeland based on academic and career resources, including its award-winning Cooperative Education program, the quality of education, faculty and more.
Lakeland’s co-op program offers students the opportunity to work in full- and part-time jobs with partner companies to earn valuable work experience, often in their field of study, as well as earning a scholarship and wages to help reduce or eliminate post-graduation tuition debt.
The listing celebrates the benefits of LU’s co-op program, saying, “Students at Lakeland University can earn a variety of impressive degrees ranging from a Master of Business Administration to a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. Business administration students have the chance to gain hands-on experience through impressive internships at businesses like the Kohler Company, Kwik Trip, Inc., and Sargento Foods. While earning between 12 and 18 months of work experience, students in a business program at this school in Plymouth, Wisconsin, may even be paid for their time and receive scholarships to help lower the cost of their tuition!
