Top leaders part of unique new Lakeland online course

Lakeland University has assembled an impressive lineup of some of Wisconsin’s top executives to detail how they are leading their organizations through the COVID-19 pandemic in a new online course entitled Leading through a Pandemic: Perspectives of Wisconsin Executives.

Each week of this seven-week course students will interact virtually with well-known leaders including:

  • Green Bay Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy,
  • Kohler Co. President and CEO David Kohler,
  • Jacob Leinenkugal Brewing Company President Dick Leinenkugal,
  • Milwaukee Brewers President-Business Operations Rick Schlesinger and others.

Students will research and present on how their employers have adapted to the pandemic and create a pandemic preparation plan in anticipation of a future business disruption.

The course can be taken three ways:

  • As a professional development seminar through Develop U, which is run by Launch: Lakeland University Student-Run Businesses.
  • As a three-credit course as part of Lakeland’s master of business administration or master of science in leadership and organizational development degree programs.
  • As a three-credit elective for undergraduate students and a way to get a jumpstart on a graduate degree.
