Lucretia Crawford, who has been with Lakeland since 1983, earned her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2004 after previously getting her master's from the University of Notre Dame in 1983 and her bachelor's from Lakeland in 1980.
She won the prestigious Undkerkofler Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching in 2002 and the Lakeland College Alumni Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching in 2011.
Crawford has taught nearly two dozen different courses at Lakeland. Her interests include medieval studies, linguistics and Native American literature. She's also deeply interested in preserving the oral traditions, history and artifacts of Lakeland.
