Numerous Employment Opportunities For LU Cooperative Education Students
Lakeland’s Cooperative Education program has rolled into the new year with numerous employment opportunities for LU students.
Shortly before the Christmas holiday break, Lakeland held a Co-Op signing ceremony for students and their employers. The following is a list of students working in Co-Op positions this semester and their employers:
Two new leaders are part of LU’s Co-Op program. Britanni Meinnert is associate vice president for Cooperative Education, and Hillary Young is LU’s director of Cooperative Education.
Meinnert leads Lakeland’s Co-Op and career readiness team, focusing on external engagement efforts, coordination of Co-Op from acceptance to the program through post-graduation success and promoting career readiness for the entire student population. She is also continuing in her role as a Lakeland faculty member in LU’s hospitality management program with revised teaching duties to accommodate her new responsibilities.
Young focuses on student engagement, Cooperative Education coursework and supervision of the on-campus student employment program. She meets one-on-one with students who need assistance with Co-Op planning and will meet frequently with on-campus site supervisors and faculty to build relationships and support the professional growth of Lakeland students.
