Lakeland’s Cooperative Education program has rolled into the new year with numerous employment opportunities for LU students.

Shortly before the Christmas holiday break, Lakeland held a Co-Op signing ceremony for students and their employers. The following is a list of students working in Co-Op positions this semester and their employers:

Two new leaders are part of LU’s Co-Op program. Britanni Meinnert is associate vice president for Cooperative Education, and Hillary Young is LU’s director of Cooperative Education.

Meinnert leads Lakeland’s Co-Op and career readiness team, focusing on external engagement efforts, coordination of Co-Op from acceptance to the program through post-graduation success and promoting career readiness for the entire student population. She is also continuing in her role as a Lakeland faculty member in LU’s hospitality management program with revised teaching duties to accommodate her new responsibilities.

Young focuses on student engagement, Cooperative Education coursework and supervision of the on-campus student employment program. She meets one-on-one with students who need assistance with Co-Op planning and will meet frequently with on-campus site supervisors and faculty to build relationships and support the professional growth of Lakeland students.
